Hello Potential Dealers,

As you may know, language is always a problem in Malaysia.

Because we use both Bahasa Malaysia and English interchangeably, that a lot of our conversation have become "Rojak". The problem is, when it comes to proper communication, we always find ourselves struggling to write in a formal manner.

Being an English educated Malay myself, i find myself always struggling when i have to write speeches in Malay, or have a casual conversation in English.

What tends to happen is that my formal malay becomes casual, and my (supposed to be) casual english becomes formal english.

To avoid this problem, i have developed a software that will help all Malaysians facing this "Rojak" language dilemma, and i have called it, CARIKATA which means literally means "Word Seeker", and that is what it precisely do. It helps users to find the best word to use in a bilingual situation.

Example of a typical problem

In English:

"Its important that we all strive to achieve quantifiable results that we can track religiously"

In Malay:

"Ianya adalah sangat penting untuk kita bersungguh-sungguh mengejar..

(can't find the right word for "results" in malay)

supaya kita boleh.....aaa

(what is "track?? "jejak"?? don't sound correct to me..and what is "religiously" in this context??)"

We get stuck, and what do we do?

We either "tembak" or we do what most people do, we look up the dictionary.

Have you tried looking up a dictionary lately? Its almost impossible. So slow and unproductive.

If you think its slow and unproductive, imagine how your kids would feel? Kids nowadays are in the age of "instant information" with google, facebook and twitter cultivating an "instant gratification" culture.

Kids nowadays will not, i repeat, will NOT look up a dictionary.

So you say, its ok, i will use the internet. Really?

Try looking up Malay to English or English to Malay dictionary and see the accuracy of the online dictionaries that you have. There are very good English dictionaries out there. But not, Malay to English or English to Malay dictionaries.

Carikata comes with 5 different Malay to English and English to Malay dictionaries. Yes, 5 different dictionaries. You will get a complete reference of every word that you try to look up.

In addition to that, have you tried writing a document in Malay using Microsoft Office? Of course you have. How do you do your spellchecking?

Yes, there is no malay spellchecker that comes with MS Office. So if you are writing in Malay, than be prepared to eye ball each word to make sure your spelling is immaculate. You would'nt want to look sloppy, do you?

Well, Carikata also provides for this. It comes with a Malay spellchecker that integrates with MS Office seamlessly that all you need to do is one click to spellcheck your whole malay document.

We did not stop there.

A lot of our customers were asking for us to include a translation function that could translate a whole paragraph from Malay to English and vice versa. We directed them to Google Translate.

But they were not happy. They wanted us to include in MS Office. So we listened.

With Carikata, you are now able to translate whole paragraphs in MS Word directly into different languages. We currently support English, Malay, Japanese, Chinese, Hindi, Arab, Persian, Spanish, German and Italian.

You don't need to log out from your MS Word when you are doing your work to translate whole paragraphs from Malay to English, or if you need to translate your work to Malay to Chinese all can be done with one click within Microsoft Word itself.

Imagine how easy this would be for students who are studying in local universities who have to do their work in Malay when reference textbooks are in English. Or for teachers who have to teach in Malay when they themselves were taught in English and have not familiarised themselves to teaching in Malay.

We have now added a new function to make this bilingual software even more powerful than it already is. We have added a Jawi translator.

huh?

Yes, for Malays in Malaysia, it is compulsory that Jawi is learnt at primary school level. For those of you who don't know what Jawi is, its basically method of writing that uses arabic letters instead of the roman letters that i am using to write this article right now.

We have included in Carikata a jawi translator, that would translate malay words from roman characters to Jawi (arabic) directly from Microsoft Word. Similar to the translation functions, simply translate whole paragraphs of malay characters to jawi in one single click.

Its is my hope that with this software, Malaysians will never have bilingual problems any longer. Instead, Malaysian will be able to cherish our differences that makes us unique and become super communicators in English, Malay, Chinese or Arabic.

Kind regards,

As reported in National Newspapers..

How much is it?

How much do you think 20 Dictionaries, Desktop Translation Software (none out there with malay language), Malay Spellchecker, E-Library software and, Jawi translator would cost you?

Our competitor who only sells one function which is the Malay spellchecker, sells their product for RM250 for one user license.

Another competitor, who only does E-Kamus or E-Dictionary, sells their product for RM350 per user.

A desktop translation software sells their product for RM280 per user license.

We do not have competitors for E-Library and Jawi translator, but would easily be valued at RM 330 for both.

So how much does Carikata which provides all of the functions above plus more, cost?

RM1,240

RM340 (for 3 user license)

Remember, your customer only have to buy this once. They will be able to use the software forever.

No more buying dictionaries or any other translation or malay spellchecker software forever. Your customers will get free lifetime updates.

What happens if my customer formats his computer?

No problem, simply reinstall the software. Our program will detect the computer has already installed a licensed copy and all you have is click one button, and their Carikata is ready for use again. Simple.

Buy Once Enjoy Forever

RM340 too expensive?
  • Your customer can share with 3 of their friends or family and each person only have to pay RM113 for this powerful software.

  • How much do your customers spend on buying dictionaries? A typical student would spend RM150 yearly to buy English, Malay and bilingual dictionaries.

  • How much does a typical translation software cost? Although there are free options available, a well known software is selling their translation software for RM280 per unit.

  • We don't have much competitor, however, there is one malay spellchecker software out there that actually sells their product at RM250 per CD

  • There is no Jawi translator out there at this moment, however, there is a half functional one that we found that charges RM80 for their software. We say half functional because we bought it and was unable to use it, upon contacting their support, we have waited for about 2 years now for a reply.

  • In addition, we have the E-Library or E-Pustaka function that enables sharing of documents between Carikata users. There is also a ready stack of document samples, templates that are available to be used immediately. This function alone is easily worth RM250 at least.

So Total Value that you are getting is worth RM 1,010 and you dont need to buy another dictionary ever.

Another important point to note is that, you will finally, actually USE the dictionary and not let it collect dust
